I am incredibly proud to announce that my first paper as a sole author "A Review of Taxonomies of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) Methods" was #accepted at the prestigious @FAccTConference. Looking forward to presenting it in #Seoul this June!🤩

To clarify, the authors are not arguing against XAI. They do, however, say that exposing problems through XAI is like opening Pandora's box. This misuses the metaphor: "evil" is already in the world, and we can simply choose not to see all of it. But we should see all of it. 2/2

They found that 13 of these organizations demand some form of explainability in their ethical guidelines, indicating the importance of explainability in modern business ethics. It's really nice to see your theoretical work put into practice like this. Thank you very much! 3/3

The authors of this work use an operationalization of explainability that I developed with great colleagues (including @LarissaChazette; https://t.co/F5niDJUp1O) to examine the ethical guidelines of 16 Finnish organizations for explainability requirements. 2/3
