We accept submissions of all types of research in special education and related fields as well as commentaries and practical guides related to that research. We encourage submission of registered reports, rigorous studies with null or negative findings, and replication research.

Unlike traditional journals where most articles are behind paywalls and authors have to pay (typically thousands of dollars) to make an article freely accessible, all the rigorous scholarship published in RiSE is openly accessible to all at no cost to authors.

We 😍 Sheila Conway's comment: "As clinical faculty, I find it difficult to lead large independent research projects, given my teaching and administrative responsibilities. As a partner on SERA collaborative projects, I can make contributions in a feasible and impactful manner."
