If you guys were to suggest one deck for a new player to get into One Piece what would that deck be?

Yellow also felt a little weird to have as for a 'beginner' decks but my two recommendations would be OP03 Katakuri and OP08 Kalgara Katakuri and Kalgar are both aggressive styles with a strong playstyle around the colors 'gimmick' (life manipulation)

Black may be the trickiest color, but I recommend OP02 Smoker and OP09 Teach. Smoker is a simple control deck heavily reliant on Navy package, new players could pilot well. Teach , while difficult to master, has a streamlined build making the deck simple to pick up and play.

For Purple Decks, I'd recommend OP05 Luffy and OP11 Katakuri Luffy's game plan to ramp while unconventional I think is simple enough compared to other leaders, while being a decently cheap deck. Katakuri wants to ramp as well, with a leader effect that is simple but strong

For Blue Decks I'd recommend OP07 Boa and OP09 Buggy Boa to show a more control playstyle that blue has largely lost but is represented well in the color while having a fairly streamlined build path. Buggy for his ease of access and simplistic playstyle.

For Green Decks my ideal choices for a new player are ST11 Uta and OP11 Jinbe. Uta for her simple leader ability + beginner friendly builds Jinbe for his unique playstyle while also staying true to the 'core' mechanic of green (restanding/resting Don and Characters)

'll list out a deck or two per color I had in mind separately. For red decks I think an excellent starting point for a new player would either be ST01 Luffy or OP09 Shanks. Both teach almost all game mechanics and are simple for new players to pick up and play.
