4/ Opportunity cost of saying 'no':. Remember, there's always a potential cost to turning down opportunities. You never know what you might miss out on. Keep your options open and evaluate each one carefully.

3/ Your weakness may be your strength:. Be self-aware and embrace what you perceive as weaknesses. They might just turn out to be your greatest assets! Be self-aware.

2/ People invest in lines, not dots:. When reaching out to others, don't just seek favors. Genuinely connect. Bonus : Maintain a public-facing portfolio of your work, allowing others to see your progress over time.

1/ Negotiate & Be comfortable saying 'no':. Leverage is key in negotiations. Having the ability to say no gives you better negotiation power. Always ask for what you're worth—it earns respect in the eyes of hiring managers.

I have watched a lot of talks and people talking about their journey, but this was different. I liked how he contextualized his story for us. It was personal, inspiring and highly relevant to the issues we are facing/will face in our journey.

After yesterday's TGIF session on @10kdesigners by @jayneildalal, I have decided that I'll be posting here more often. The biggest learning for me was that there is always an opportunity cost for saying 'no'. Initially, I didn't really know what to expect from the session ⬇️.
