Pound for pound, sheep are the the most efficient and profitable animal for a homestead/small farm They eat weeds and brush, easy to keep fenced, require no grain, the right breed is parasite resistant and have the perfect balance of trample, manure and urine for soil building

I have been on the country of origin label bandwagon While reading this tweet it hit me This is just another example of why government ALWAYS fails We don’t need them to protect us Just grow your own or buy from a local farmer and you will never have to question its origin
Don’t you want to know where your meat comes from? It is not a lot to ask - just put a label on the damn beef. We want to know our meat is safe to eat. This is not rocket science. Support American ranchers, protect your food supply & stand up for family farms.

We need to drill it down even further. We need small, local closed loop food economies. Where every pound of hamburger and sausage is born, raised and processed within 100 miles of the end user Native animals feeding native people
A country that can’t feed itself isn’t truly free. A nation that depends on foreign countries for its food cannot defend itself.
