Another few hours of work & our new Forest School area is finally ready. It's been a lot of hard work, but we hope the children are as excited as we are. Thank you to Luke Thompson for his help over the summer, and also our own families. @LisaTho09033449 @beech_green

Last term, Reception were passionate about wanting to look after their environment after learning about how damaging litter can be. Our wonderful parents & carers have responded by organising a litter pick. What a super community effort! Feeling proud! 💗 @beech_green

After reading 'Where the Wild Things Are', Reception drew their own 'wild things'. Following the children's interests resulted in some super descriptions. "He has blue, sharp horns...sharper than knives. It's body is red hot fire" said one of our youngest children. @beech_green

Thank you to @TChessell from Tesco for the generous fruit donation. The children were keen to accept the challenge from 'Mr Super Explorer' and try the different fruit (even if they weren't sure!) @beech_green

Reception enjoyed making traps for the evil pea in their Forest School session today. They even got to plant some potatoes. We wondered if they would grow into a 'Supertato' too! @beech_green

The Reception children who are at school really enjoyed trying to catch snowflakes on pieces of card. They then looked at them carefully with their magnifying glasses. Later we will be making our own snowflakes! @beech_green

Reception children were busy making 'leaf' tails for the 'tailless' squirrels they found in the Forest School area. Who'd of known that Reception could also find so many acorns mysteriously hidden too! Lots of fun, as always in Forest School! @beech_green

Reception were amazed by the beauty of nature during Forest School "Wow, that's beautiful!" She said as she couldn't take her eyes off the skeleton leaf she had found. So important to encourage our children to stop & appreciate the beauty of nature around us! @beech_green
