iOS Engineer at Apple. Amateur blogger, photographer and coffee drinker. (He/Him)
London, England
Joined November 2010
I started this blog in December 2019. I've since written 68 posts, helping me become a more confident and competent writer. This project has been a success, so what's next? Well, I'm quitting writing monthly posts.

My philosophy is when I'm working, I'm working hard. When I'm done, I'm done. That means completely disconnecting from work. When it comes to creative distraction-free concentrated work, rest is criminally undervalued. Here’s how a shutdown routine helps!

I've had the opportunity to be a part of a lot of interviews, both as an interviewer and interviewee. In tech, we spend the majority of time preparing for technical interviews. Here’s how I’ve stood out using simple but thorough research about the role 📚 https://t.co/C4jLmyjCtv

In the last few years, it's felt like the world has become an increasingly negative place. A few weeks between jobs has given me time to slow down and reflect. The negativity has really been getting to me. Gratitude, has helped massively!

A HUGE thank you to everyone on the hold team and in the iOS guild for being incredible mentors, and constantly challenging me to grow and improve! I can't wait to see where you take Assets and Wise 🚀 🧵2/2

After an incredible year and a half at @Wise, I've decided that it's time for a new challenge. I'm incredibly excited that I'll be joining @Apple as an iOS Engineer on the Wallet team in March 🎉. 🧵1/2 https://t.co/ulAsDXsSlE

Travel gives an opportunity to drastically simplify life to only the bare essential. Less luggage means less inconvenience while in transit. Fewer items result in fewer decisions. Together, these make travel more enjoyable ✈️

Being alone has been made to seem undesirable; culture and technology has pushed us to prioritize constant communication and consumption over disconnection and self-reflection. Can we really be our best selves without time to reflect and process?

We'd all like to call ourselves well informed, but is there actually a benefit in being selectively ignorant? In a world of infinite algorithmically served information, do we really need to keep up? I don't think so!

We hot desk, and recently our CTO sat next to me. We’re at two extreme ends of the org chart and we’d never met before, yet he recognised me after hearing my first name! How? Well, because I actively market myself. Here’s how you can do the same!
