For many of us, this Ramadan will feel different because for the first time there will be an empty chair at our tables as a reminder of a loved one who is no longer with us. To those experiencing this absence for the first time, may Allah ease your grief and grant you patience.

Prayer is for you to meet Allah bearing the weight of the world and leave carrying far less of it.

There is no real value in knowing what is right if we are not willing to live by it. Islamic knowledge was never meant for display but for practice so if it doesn’t soften your heart, refine your character and shape how you treat others, it’s just useless information.

The cruelest thing I did to myself was mistake Allah’s warning signs for tests and hold onto what He was protecting me from.

In Algeria, when you do a kind gesture for someone they tell you “الله يرحم والديك” which translates to “may Allah have mercy on your parents” which shows that gratitude extends beyond you to those who planted kindness within you and I think that’s beautiful.

This may be the Ramadan that anchors them on their path, once and for all. The last one after which they never miss prayers again or ever remove the hijab. While they’re gaining rewards for their intentions and their efforts, you’re throwing yours away through judgments.

If you label people as hypocrites just because they become more modest or more devoted solely during Ramadan, perhaps you should focus on your own growth too rather than judging what Allah is growing in someone’s heart.

Stop looking for a "miracle" to prove that Allah has your back, when your own existence is the miracle.

It’s hard to understand how some people view being stingy as a way to protect their wealth, not realizing it limits it. And when they do give money and experience that “random” increase flow in their finances, they dismiss it as a coincidence rather than the Barakah at work.

I just quit my job solely for the sake of my mental health. I would 1000% recommend.

“Then why make dua for something good when you feel you don’t deserve it?” Because Allah is Merciful, and He gives to both those who feel deserving and those who feel undeserving.

I feel like no one talks about how growing up internalizing the belief that you don’t deserve good things in life can follow you into adulthood so even when Allah grants you something you prayed for, you struggle to accept it. Not out of ingratitude, but unworthiness.

Don’t let the suffering you see in this world make you doubt the mercy of Allah. In Islam, hardship is not the absence of His mercy but a sign of it and the heavier the burden in this life, the greater the reward in the next so those losing the most are the ones gaining the most.

Some people will never apologize or own up to the harm they caused you in this life because Allah has reserved their encounter with you for a court they can’t escape.

Entry into Jannah is by Allah’s mercy, but elevation within it is shaped by what a person endures in this dunya so when you make your dua to be elevated, always ask yourself whether you are prepared for the tests that may be required to make you worthy of what you are asking for.
