The standard practice is always to validate at the boundaries between your low-level codec and the real types not between the raw bytes and the codec. If these validations are done only at the CBOR low level, I think weāre in trouble. Weāll never be able to detach from the

Iāve seen Homer helping people in the Telegram SPO groups since 2020, heās a real Cardano OG. I really doubt he meant anything bad by it. But yeah, you definitely shouldnāt have done that on mainnet. Iām still wonderingā¦ what was the end goal supposed to be?
