My mother and many black women of her generation didn't have the luxury of self care as they worked 2 jobs and were single parents. I dont know if we honor them enough.

Black women have been fighting for the rights of our children, our men and our own equality ever since we step foot in this country over 300 years ago. Yes many of us are angry and tired but we press on!

Life's problems comes with children to school. Planning and delivering lessons is the easy part. Teaching through the trauma of violence, gender identity issues, social anxiety, bullying, racism, etc. can make u fight for children or burnout.

Sometimes teens dont want space from their parents. They just want u to know that they feel weird without you being weird.

Often I have rushed to God to get a word only to receive quiet. The peace and quiet of God's presence is sometimes all the word we need to ease our troubles and fears.

Was alone in my marriage for many years God saved me but not the marriage Now I'm alone and single Being single sucks at times but on my worst days God's love sustains me and is preparing me for better days to come. Stay encouraged!

My 4 yr old grand daughter said to me out of the blue that she wanted to pray. We said a prayer and it hit me that this is what child like faith looks like. This blessed me to the core. When your heart is open, God will show up in amazing ways.
