.@mitrakalita Thanks for your @TIME @charterworks article. Agree wholedheartedly. This #AAPI #InvisibleInk news media representation study affirms that journalists often portray AAs w/ a broad brush, as a monolith and reinforcing the model minority myth.

Took unsafe @lyft ride. Asked for refund/credit. I was accused by Lyft support of "monetizing" unsafe rides. If anything, Lyft is the one making money off of bad rides. I only use Lyft for work so don't personally benefit. Sad to see Lyft gaslighting customers for profit.

.@nytdavidbrooks - re: your comment on @PBS @NewsHour that masks are no longer effective in stopping #COVID19 spread. N95 masks are always VERY effective. Surgical/cloth masks are much less so. Pls be accurate in what you communicate to the public. Thanks.

WoodNext Fund grantee MSF is directly providing medical support and technical assistance within the borders of Ukraine. So courageous and amazing.
Update on @MSF activities in #Ukraine: We currently work with approximately 100 international staff and employ more than 200 Ukrainian staff. More are joining the team every day. What are these people working on? Thread 🧵

Meet Filipp, an energetic young one our team met at the Ukraine-Poland border! He ate lunch while playing with toys given by volunteers. While we’re seeing fewer families cross into Poland now, our team continues to welcome anyone coming through with fresh meals. #ChefsForUkraine

So impressed by this WoodNext Fund grantee's capacity for scaling to provide 9M meals re: Ukraine crisis!
WCK chefs & restaurants have served more than 9 million meals so far in response to the war in Ukraine. What are some of the dishes teams are preparing? In Odesa, Vortutai Restaurant made 1,500 portions of roasted meat with vegetables, coleslaw, and porridge! #ChefsForUkraine

WoodNext Fund is proud to support WCK's work providing meals to refugees from Ukraine
With Chef Jozef, WCK is serving hot meals at a shelter in Kosice, Slovakia. While some refugees just arrived, many have been here for days or even weeks. A TV was recently installed to give the kids something to pass time as they eat or wait for the next train. #ChefsForUkraine

Today I met this grandmother with a beautiful smile in a village near Chernihiv! She was injured during a bombing but still has hope! She was asking why Russians & Belarusians who are our friends are attacking us, are killing us…why? Still, she was not bitter & prays for peace…

Glad @MIT is ending relationship w/ Skoltech in Russia b/c of Ukraine. I wish MIT would take a stand and sever ties w/ Saudi Arabia re: assassination of Khashogghi. I guess too much money is at stake. :/ https://t.co/SxDFV4hNzR

.@SenAlexPadilla @SenFeinstein, urge Congress to include an Afghan Adjustment Act in the upcoming funding bill. Without it, thousands of Afghan evacuees could lose their legal right to remain in the U.S.

#MIGlobal #philanthropy session- re: ecosystem landscaping, every large funder does their own landscaping+strategy. How can we stop duplicating efforts across program staff + reinventing the wheel? @crojasphd @CaseyGrants Jim Shelton @bluemeridianp Larry Kramer @Hewlett_Found

At #MIGlobal session on #philanthropy + patient capital. Agree w/@DpT1D -there needs to be more due diligence in grantmaking, BUT it's not as simple as philanthropy "being a business." Much more nuance in the social impact sector and need to contextualize business practices
