drawing from the aspects of adam i think are personally the least interesting but you can see some of it if you squint so whatever. i'll be annoyed if they stick with that characterisation forever and don't let him develop but for the first movie it's like fine.

character flaws. they just made a lot of weird decisions. thanos's story line of isolation and hopelessness -> learning to appreciate life again is rly important to me yk. my weirdoooooo my freakkkkk. TLDR i hate it so bad and it makes it really hard to say yeah so one of my fave.

are rly important to his character so it's weird to just not have that. also idk how they thought being like "well actually he is an ecofacist" is more compelling than what his actual story is yk. his motivations are more like personal and self-centered and that ties into his.

got different backstories and motivation and weird human eyes instead of his black ones and no laser blasts and no homoeroticism with adam and doesn't touch on any of the themes of isolation and alienation or his want for love ultimately. i think mistress death and adam.

hey sorry just saw this! in general i am an MCU hater i don't really like their approach to anything but I think the MCU adaptation of Thanos is one of their worst 😭 he is honestly a completely different character they just were like okay well he's big and purple and scary
