It was an honor to be one of the panelists-thanks to @GO2forLungCancr @ShanadaRX for the invite! Leaving with renewed motivation for pushing patient centered research initiatives. Patient advocacy at its best!.
Thanks to @GO2forLungCancr for this panel on Health Equity at the #VoicesSummit with Drs. @cslathan @COlazagasti @sniranjanPhD @ShanadaRX. Ignoring bias does not lead to progress. “I don’t see color” doesn’t facilitate change.

Our work towards increasing lung cancer screening using community health advisors is now out -while patient activation is important, tackling institutional / provider level is paramount! @drmonicabaskin.
out of 100 individuals recruited for the study, only 23 got LDCT - one reason was "reluctance of PCPs to provide referral to LCS." 🤬wake up docs - it's recommended by USPSTF & saves lives #lcsm @sands_jacob @JenLewisMD #lcsm.
