I kept telling myself “once I finish all these major house projects, THEN I’ll start on these other things” but I finished the house work a month ago and every day I sheepishly look in the mirror like I might trick myself into thinking they still aren’t done

30 minutes of stream restarts is no good. I’ve spent dozens of hours troubleshooting this, exchanging hardware, digging into wireshark logs (which strangely no one wants), talking to friends in network engineering... there is clearly a routing issue here, but I can’t get help.

However, I can work around it by restarting the stream. Eventually, I will get a clean connection, and I won’t drop a single frame for an 8 hour stream. I can go a week without running into this. But I have also had nights where I have had to restart a dozen times! 2/3

Problem description for the curious: When streaming I sometimes see persistent frame drops. If this happens, it will occur within the first 5 minutes of starting the stream and then consistently every few seconds to few minutes. This will continue for the whole stream. 1/3

Does anybody work for @googlefiber or @Twitch who may be able to help me out? I’ve been having this tricky, mysterious network problem when streaming since I moved. I’ve been working with both teams for 4 months now, but they both point the other way. I need help!
