Two species of Solifuges from southwest Texas. Solifuges are arachnids sometimes called Sun Scorpions or Camel Spiders although they're neither spiders or scorpions. The little guys use pure speed and aggressions to subdue prey with their sharp but non-venomous jaws.

An eastern spadefoot toad (Scaphiopus holbrookii) from somewhere in Delaware. These little guys spend most of their life underground emerging on humid or rainy nights to feed and breed.
