We had a hopper hop today. New battery, freshly charged, 5.7 lbs of thrust. I was hanging on to it just to control and keep it from lifting higher. But, we hopped today!!! Now to build a thrust vectoring unit. Old on killed thrust to 2.5 lbs of thrust. New hopper will hop
Hoppys last barrel section is on the printer, however, I put a terminated print on top to see how it will look. Last barrel section is about 2 inches shorter. 20oz bottle next to him for reference.
I will say, I left Facebook for a reason, so much negatively and people that just bash. I enjoy the space peeps over here so much more. Thanks for following and being part of the journey.
1 year ago, I sat at work, and waited for starship to go for the first time. It scrubbed, and at that moment I went straight to my boss and asked for the rest of the week off to make my way to south padre. It was a smart move.
Took off the thrust vectoring unit and seems I gained my lost thrust. It wasn't like this on the previous try, and I didn't lose that much weight. So I have to still lose weight and design a whole new thrust vectoring unit.
Hoppy has taken some kind of form. And yes, the crane is actually holding up the upper dome. Barrel section
#2
is on the printer. Hope to see it done before i leave for work tomarrow evening.
