By interviewing ACT network members and reviewing existing materials, Gabe plans to create original written and visual content that will widen the lab and ACT's reach. Post-graduation, Gabe hopes to become a conservation ecologist and help protect aquatic habitats and ecosystems.

Before joining the Smithsonian, Dr. Graham led the Florida Institute of Oceanography for the past four years. Many thanks to the hardworking team of SERC and Smithsonian staff who served on the selection committee and brought him to us!

Today we're thrilled to welcome Dr. William "Monty" Graham, on his first day on the SERC campus as director! (All right, second day on the job, but he was in D.C. all day Monday.) A marine scientist, Dr. Graham brings a commitment to advancing science and building partnerships.
