The SMJCL is saddened to report the passing of our President, David Vallance .His work for the league cannot be overstated and we are where we are largely because of him. His contribution to other leagues and junior cricket in general was unwavering. A real gentleman of cricket.

At our recent AGM, we decided to support two charities with £500 donations. @LordsTaverners who will use the money to fully fund a table cricket set for one of the SEND Cricket programmes. And @Chance2Shine who provide free and accessible school and street exercise programmes.

It takes two teams to have a great game and these two put on a worthy display for the @smanjcl U13s final between @DidsburyCC and @LindowCC . Didsbury defended their total well to clinch the win into the last over. Runners up Lindow already had the Divisione one title.

Congratulations to @LindowCC U13s winning the @smanjcl Division 1 title last night. Disappointing not to get the final game on with the poor weather as last nights opponents @UrmstonCC finish runners up level points. Should be a good cup comp with both teams in the same league.
