I was never close with cynic, but I remember one night after FPL, he sent me a genuine apology on steam after trash talking me in Teamspeak when I was a new player having a lucky game.
It wasn't much, but that small act of sincerity has stayed with me all these years. <3

Honestly, every aim duel I take I lose. All of my kills are just killing someone not looking at me or just trading someone. I've never seen a player as bad as me at winning aim duels, it's truly astonishing. Just using game sense as a crutch I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

sometimes I doubt whether or not I'll ever be REALLY good at cs whenever I see how effortlessly better players just farm in their matches, even when they're trolling. Feels like im so far from being able to do that, even after 9,000 hours. Frustrating to be improving so slowly.

So ashamed of how frustrated I get when playing pugs in cs. Just way too high expectations, very hard on myself, and it just ruins the entire energy of whatever queue I'm with. I don't talk shit, but I just kill the vibe of everyone, and I'm just mad at myself for doing that.

Anyone else have a strange nostalgia for when they were an amateur/beginner, playing ESEA for the first time, or joining their first team? I'm definitely happier as a better player now than I was 4 years ago but there's a strange novelty that I miss about being new to competing.
