"Employers could face health cost increases of 9-10 percent through 2026 ..." Wow. A 9-10% increase is 3x what employers have been paying. How can they absorb that increase and still grow their business? It's time for a change. #healthcarecosts

SCARY-This Tweet Captures the State of Health Care in America Today. D.C. orange line. woman’s leg got stuck in the gap b/w the train & the platform. Just as upsetting she begged no one call an ambulance. “It’s $3000,” she wailed. “I can’t afford that.”

Good news. From a recent study, since 2013, U.S. employers still largely pay for healthcare plans covering almost 80% of cost. Tough news. Healthcare costs have risen over 30%. For an employer with 100 employees, that represents almost $750,000. #healthcarecosts #timeforachange

Employers having second thoughts on HDHPs - Folks, HDHP's don't work...employees put off treatments & don't adhere to medications b/c they can't afford it or are scared! Do the opposite of what everyone says - the richer the plan = lower claims

MUST READ article by my friend, Marni Jameson Carey (a voice of transparency&independent physician advocate). She discusses "How nonprofit hospitals get away with the biggest rip off in America". As only Marni can say"American patients need to wake up"

Thank you to Patient Rights Advocate (PRA) and founder, Cynthia Fisher for their continuous fight to bring transparency to the U.S. healthcare system - excellent article. COVID-19 has pointed out so many fallacies of our current system. Thanks PRA!

This $153,000 rattlesnake bite is everything wrong with American health care..can't reduce the cost of health insurance without reducing the cost of care….Obamacare does nothing to deal with this other than encourage this type of thing. #PPOGATE

This article draws an analogy that explicitly implies the complexity of healthcare pricing & how, in part, the legacy pricing strategy over time based on egregious, arbitrary sticker pricing has caused outrageous price gouging.
