As a 6-year-old, I was terrified of the PrintScrn key. The idea of a keypress—a fundamentally virtual input, otherwise entirely contained within the computer—producing side effects in the physical world (making a paper printout) was deeply disturbing and unholy!!!!.

the actual problem with these so-called "third spaces" is that none of them solve my true need, which is for a hospitable place to study until 3am within a 10-minute walk of my apartment.

Btw we're at a baseball game today for team bonding (I had nothing to do with this, I think) and I reposted my slides but apparently "lost some people with the math" :( you truly can't win them all.

After I learned how many random parts of a baseball game are sponsored, e.g. "now it's time for another Habbas Law mound visit," I immediately told my coworkers we need to get sponsors for all our meetings ("guys we're late to our Nabisco daily standup!!!") but no one agreed :/

You actually don't have to understand separation logic if you sign a contract agreeing to never allocate on the heap. Not enough people are taking advantage of this imo.

It's actually kind of weird how "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" has dynamic scope for the home-team metavariable. Btw I bullied almost 30 PL researchers into attending a minor league game today.
