This is a good, clear-headed analysis of the final call by Jonny Holland.

By the letter of the law the British and Irish Lions should not have won Saturday's second Test, but the problem is those laws have been consistently ignored in the modern game | @jonnyholland10.

Is this potentially a hit above the shoulder line? Yes. Is this definitively a hit above the shoulder line? No. A penalty *could* definitely have been given. But don't agree with the notion that this is a cut & dried 100% penalty.

Biggest Talking Point: JAC MORGAN! . Referee Andrea Piardi’s process here was poor. - Is there Foul Play? Yes .- Shoulder to head ✅.- High Degree of Danger ✅.Is there mitigation? Yes .• Low body height, attempt to make a legal clean out. So just a Yellow Card No Wrap

Interesting to see Wayne Barnes go against Joe Schmidt's assertion on final clearout. You'd wonder how much Tizzano's dive factored into the decision-making process. Was an inescapable visual that distracted from the actual collision.

Just as Dan Sheehan is one of a kind, so is Will Skelton . Yesterday we saw his La Rochelle best on the international stage. Shithousing, bulldozing & just causing hassle everywhere he went.

Have vivid memories of Munster vs Ospreys in the 2009 Champions Cup quarter-final. And a masterclass from Paul Warwick.

What a player Paul Warwick was - one of Irish rugby’s most underrated overseas signings. Enjoyed chatting to Warwick about his fond memories of his time with Munster and Connacht, the serious neck injury that ended his career and the future:.

Australia are 26-17 up when Tom Curry makes a try-saving tackle on Joseph Sua'ali'i. The Lions win a scrum penalty off the knock on and go up the field for Tadhg Beirne's try. The second Test hinges on that moment. The series hinges on that moment.

Finn Russell.Maro Itoje.Tom Curry.Ellis Genge. For all the talk of the Irish Lions, arguably the biggest performances today came from outside the green machine.

Hugo Keenan the hero but just like 09, Australia come out of a sensational second Test with lots of credit in defeat. Think that was the right call on the Morgan clearout. A brilliant game and a brilliant home effort that adds a huge dollop of validation to the Lions' achievement.

Genge has brought exactly the impact you'd have expected. Some big bursts in the build-up to that Beirne try.

That is such a cheap penalty to concede from Bundee Aki. The referee is literally screaming no hands in his face and he persists for another 2-3 seconds trying to snatch the ball. Another soft three points.

47 minutes into the second half and both Valetini & Skelton are gone for Australia. That strips them of a lot of their go forward impetus.
