I might have a new favorite proof that the harmonic series diverges. It's just so beautiful.

One of those moves that have superpositional evaluation: - When my opponent plays it, it’s a brilliant pawn sac. - When I play it, it’s simply an outright blunder. From Leko-Erigaisi, https://t.co/RndZsdpNNT

I’m no GM, but I suspect white has certain positional issues to solve! 🤔🤔🤔 TCEC S29 4K6 game 138, pygone-ice4 https://t.co/K7tqj1MyIm (The size of these engines is at most 4096 bytes, which is less than the size of this tweet.)

I’ve watched just about all the recent Leela knight odds vids by @ChessNetwork. They’re actually pretty good! That said, if only we could find the optimal opponent, they’d be perfect! Perhaps someone in the 2693-2695 Elo range… 🤔🤔🤔 Tagging @gmmds because it’s Friday! 🤓

I’m sure @gmmds can appreciate that Leela thinks that Semi-Slav is better for black! Namely, the Semi-Slav without the Semi-Slav bishop variation 😉 (Leela here has Elo-diff based contempt enabled, hence the high optimism) https://t.co/a7d8EBp0Nz

Blast from the past! Some bonus games between SF classical (pre-NNUE) vs modern SF and Leela. Someone needs to let this elder fish in on the magic of the h6 pawn! https://t.co/fBrodDlKJ8

Jokes aside, Stockfish lost on time because of an interaction between PV (primary variation) search extensions and Syzygy TB7 endgame tables, the latter making the first much more computationally expensive. Stockfish was close to a winning TB7 position.

True GM-level metagaming, I’m sure @gmmds will agree! In the sole decisive game of the 100-game bookless match, Leela (black) lured Stockfish (white) into this position, surely knowing that the fish cannot handle the time pressure! 😅😅 https://t.co/NpUH6UssEU

OMG, I was just wondering who plays openings like this. And then I checked the database. UK chess never disappoints! 😅 Tagging @gmmds for no reason in particular! 🤫

In this position, Na1 is the obvious winning continuation, of course. I’ll let @gmmds explain why! 😉 Oh BTW, TCEC Season 28 Superfinal between Lc0 and Stockfish just started! https://t.co/a7d8EBp0Nz

Interesting new development! To combat draw death in top correspondence chess, ICCF is doing a test event with forced opening moves—something that TCEC has done since its inception. https://t.co/KzQOgkuqXu (click Section A/B & Get PGN) Tagging @gmmds for no particular reason.

White to move. What is the best move in this position according to the engines? I wonder if it comes as much as a shock to @gmmds as it did to me! https://t.co/C4ECD0MFW0 S28 DivP G146 Komodo Dragon - Ethereal (ongoing)

One of the most gorgeous King’s Indian hacks of all time marks the start of my new series on the great Italian player Sergio Mariotti, known as “The Italian Fury” for his fearless and brilliant attacking play. Watch https://t.co/qOhqeOSAAb and enjoy!

Final video in the Budapest Gsmvit series and the one (some of 🧐🧐) you have been waiting for! 😊😊 What could Crazy Leela make of the black side of the Budapest Gambit when faced with Alekhine’s 4.e4?
