After ranked choice tabulations, Zohran Mamdani just ekes it over Andrew Cuomo in Rep. Jerry Nadler's NY12, in the heart of central Manhattan. Mamdani's margin in Hell's Kitchen and Midtown were just barely enough to overcome Cuomo's massive lead in the very wealthy UES and UWS.

Is this just Jackson County is rural middle Tennessee still voting for Obama 2008?
I think it's due to different generations, many of those Bush voters might be dead now, the rural white South also had a bunch of old hardcore Democrats that are dead now.

The historically very powerfully pro union areas in the south like northern Middle Tennessee, Winston County, Alabama, Eastern Tennessee, Western NC are probably the most pro-confederate parts of the south today for who knows what reason.
@electionsjoe i mean literally anywhere rural in the whole country you'll see them, seeing them in WV is by far the funniest though considering the state's history.
