i didn’t even care about adar’s redemption unfortunately, which is a problem in and of itself because he never even started to earn it. TROP S2 spoon fed its audience a bullet point series of canon lore events and made no attempt to create a coherent narrative and it was BORING.

what did adar do to deserve redemption except steal nenya? .sauron endured purgatory and then spent S1 helping galadriel save the southlands. like it or not he was well on his way to redeeming himself. his sudden 180 turn after the S1 reveal is trop’s biggest narrative pitfall.
@sirphillipluvrr @countesslillian Thinking Adar committed more atrocities thn Sauron is so utterly delusional & based on nothing. Nevermind most of those atrocities were committed at Melkor & Sauron's behest. U need medical assistance if u think Sauron did anything whatsoever to earn trust or prove himself.

i’m so fascinated by self appointed eloise defenders caught in a toxic loop of expecting her to ‘break free’ from the narrative JQ and the show wrote for her based on her personality and then resenting her for not meeting their OOC expectations.
listen i love eloise but she really is not the Activist™ a lot of the fandom tends to make her out to be. like i’m sorry but she is not gonna be saying “fuck the monarchy and eat the rich” at any point of the show.
