For the next 13 weeks, the recruit officers will be in the Law Enforcement Academy working to earn their State certification. They will learn about a variety of topics like: criminal investigations, legal aspects, firearms, use of force, and emergency vehicle operations. /713

Highlights of week 3 of recruit training included Emergency Vehicle Operation and Taser training. Recruits spent time learning proper emergency vehicle driving, both high speed and precision driving, as well as experiencing Taser effects. /713
