The Welsh fans have received so much praise in Switzerland (and rightly so) but these amazing people deserve so much credit. In every country they go above and beyond, and they really are the heartbeat of Welsh football. Diolch yn fawr fawr iawn ❤️.

An 11 hour journey to Hamburg gives you plenty of time to think!. We’ve made so many memories this trip. The anthem, the goals, bankrolling the O’Five bar in St. Gallen. But it’s also a tournament that highlights some problems we’ve got both on and off the pitch.

It's been amazing journey, but sadly Wales' time at Euro 2025 has come to an end. @sionmisra reflects on the journey and lasting impact the Red Wall had on the competition.

Euro 2025 is a wrap!. I’ve been so fortunate to be able to work at a tournament covering the country I love. I’ve met some incredible people and worked for outlets I could only dream of working for. Wales fans, players, staff and everyone in between, it’s been an honour 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿❤️

Can’t help but be delighted for Mared! . Can tell how hard she wants to work to break into the United team, but also into the Welsh senior team. I know the dust has only just settled on a Euros campaign, but for the future, Mared is going to play a crucial role.

This has been a Euros of small wins for Wales, but seeing Hannah Cain score at a major tournament is another that is joyous. Been through so much with injury, but scoring in Dublin and then against England (whom she played youth football for) is an achievement she deserves.

Questions will be raised about the performances of players and tactics etc. But if you're saying Wilkinson needs to go, you're talking nonsense. Playing against three teams with decades of investment will show your flaws. Yes this is a wake up call, but a necessary one for us.

It was a real pleasure writing this piece for The Observer on how Wales, and their fans, have become the real darlings of Euro 2025. Really pleased to have written this, and a huge thanks to @BethFisherSport and @ffioneluned24!.

"It's in our blood and DNA to want to beat England.". "The pressure is all on them.". If there was a song you could fit around that press conference it's Zombie by The Cranberries, because Wales are in England's heads (that's for you @ashleycrowden!) .

Wales have just lost 4–1 to France, and yet in the bars across St. Gallen, it’s Wales fans who are celebrating, singing and dancing. Jess Fishlock’s goal was an out of body experience to many, and it feels like women’s football in Wales is going to go to a whole new level.

I’ve been very fortunate to spend time with Meg during this tournament, and I will always be in awe of every piece she writes. She is the hardest worker I know, and it’s no surprise when she writes stunning piece after stunning piece. Truly the best Wales has.

Piece on a goal. Bc how it was relished: an immortal notch canonised into Wales’ sporting timeline. Wales might go home but they will not go silently into that Swiss night. That is Jess Fishlock’s legacy. A player always, forever, there for Wales.

Kayleigh Barton said last night seeing just how many were in the Red Wall was overwhelming. Sophie Ingle said Wieke Kaptein texted her to say how incredible our anthem was. Swiss people cannot fathom how many of us are out here. Simply, the best fans in the world 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Having not played a minute of competitive football since suffering an ACL injury in August 2024, Sophie Ingle makes her return at a European Championships. Another one of Welsh football's greatest servants getting the moment and recognition they deserve. Croeso nol Sophie!

The honour of scoring Wales' first ever goal at a major tournament goes to Jess Fishlock. Of course it does. There is no one like her, and there never will be anyone like her again. An icon who will, rightfully, be immortalised forever.

A 4-4-2 for Wales with some players playing in positions that they haven't played in a while. Kayeligh Barton right mid, Ceri Holland left mid, Rachel Rowe centre mid, Esther Morgan right back, Jess Fishlock up top. Can't fault Wilkinson at this stage for trying something new!.
