Watching Mario play in person was wild. He was so fast, but didn't look it. Unlike feeling McDavid's speed today, Mario seemed to skate at normal speed, and everyone else on the ice became sluggish. He brought some sort of extra gravity to the ice that only he could move through.
I was home from College Freshman year break. Mario's rookie year. Wayne Babych, Troy Loney, Doug Sheldon and Mark Taylor score. Robert Romano makes 34 saves in shutout win for @penguins. Probably first time I saw Mario play in person.
