In Elijah’s time, thousands of people worshiped one idol, Baal. This was bad enough. Even more shocking is the adoration of the countless idols in our present day— material goods, wealth, power, and even ourselves. Anything dearer to us than God is idolatry— playing with fire.

It appears that a prophecy of Elder Theodoros Agiofarangitis.(+2016) is being fulfilled before our eyes. At the Third Spiritual Dialogue Gathering in Cyprus on May 22, 2019, His Eminence Metropolitan Neophytos of Morphou shared this prophecy told to him by the Elder.

I have been amazed that some are utterly in doubt as to whether or not the holy Virgin is able to be called the Mother of God. For if our Lord Jesus Christ is God, how should the holy Virgin who bore him not be the Mother of God? . ✝️St. Cyril of Alexandria (June 9/ June 22)

An orchid species called "Flower of the Holy Spirit" (Peristeria elata) starts blooming during Pentecost each year. Before it blooms, it looks like monks praying. When the flower blooms, it resembles a flying dove.

Among the 318 bishops who gathered at the 1st Ecumenical Council (7th Sun. of Pascha) were many confessors who bore the marks of torture upon their bodies. At Nicea, by their witness, the Church would confront the expanding heresy of Arianism and emerge victorious.
