If you’re ever interviewing someone who says they’ve gotten splinters out of a toddler’s foot, hire them immediately! They’ve got perseverance, creativity, and excellent problem solving skills.

I have a controversial idea. Delete email & messaging apps from your phone. Work is not your life.

When you pay $5.25 for a Starbucks caramel macchiato at 11:00am and are still drinking it at 6:00pm (several reheats), it’s only $0.75 per hour. You’re welcome.

Always leave a job well. 1. It shows integrity and character. 2. You never know what paths will cross down the road.

Sometimes, self-care looks like making sure your priorities are what you want them to be.

I find that, the more appreciation becomes a habit, the more I realize how many good things are happening around me.

You and I both know how essential delivery drivers have become to our lives. It’s always interesting to me how some of the people we rely on the most are in some of most thankless jobs. So, let’s change that. @KeySoftwareSys #leadership

Good luck to everyone with job interviews this week! Remember, when you’re asked a question, take a moment to think. Formulating a strong answer is much more impactful than figuring it out as you talk. “Answering quickly” isn’t important. “Answering thoughtfully” is.

One of my favorite things about summer is the way it calls us to a simpler time. May sound cheesy, but it's true! As a workplace, find ways to allow & celebrate this too!

Saving America is NOT the mission of the church. I discuss why with @JohnBlakeCNN:

Prominent evangelical pastor Andy Stanley tells CNN he’s dismayed by how some evangelical leaders have acted during the pandemic and in the aftermath of the 2020 elections.

Let's talk returning to the office - If you’re an employee who is hesitant to return, figure out what your core concerns/hesitancies are. Then come up with some possible solutions. Talk about it with your boss as soon as you can so there's plenty of time to work through it.

One thing I've realized about myself - for me to truly be able to make the most of summer, I have to simplify. I need to declutter so that I can spend time enjoying summer rather than dealing with so much stuff every day.

Here's a way to make hybrid remote/office plans less difficult. Instead of starting with a 100% in-office perspective, start the other way. Begin with a 100% remote perspective, and then figure out what needs to be done in-office.

When you're in the midst of making big changes, be encouraged - plans aren’t usually created perfectly the first time! Try your plan for a few days/weeks, see what works and what needs to be tweaked, and try again.
