Always good to see a new club open in the area, especially when they have a good quest spot like Fly Yeti Fly so in Trowbridge tonight

I've seen @LadyMaisery and  Jimmy and Sid's Christmas show before but they have decided to venture out in warmer times to celebrate summer under the collective name of Wakefire. You just know that with these five it's going to be a great show @stgeorgesbris

At the old Beau Nash cinema for Bristol's @TheLongestJohns and just noticed the support is @_natalieholmes another act I've wanted to see.

Tonight it's one of my favorites artists , Irish songstress Cara Dillon and her husband Sam Lakeman. I think Ant is extremely chuffed to have managed to book Cara for Downend Folk and Roots tonight.

Tonight is Theatre night. By Royal Appointment staring Anne Reid ( Dinner Ladies) as The Queen, Caroline Quentin (Men Behaving Badly) as The Dresser, with Olivier award-winning James Dreyfus ( Gimme Gimme Gimme) as The Milliner and Poldark legend James Wilby as The Designer

Have been looking forward to this evening since the tour was announced. Saw the show first time around, will be a cracking night.

When artists come over from Canada and play two gigs within a short distance of each other,  all be it a week apart , it's only sensible to return to the Chichester campsite to see the fantastic @TheEastPointers .Support tonight by Saije, an award winning Australian folk duo

It's been some time since I saw @MrAdamBeattie and @fionabevan together. I believe she was in the US when I last saw Adam. This is a new venue to me but only 10 minutes from the campsite so could be a good place if I can get more than one gig in a trip.

One of the highlights of this year's Celtic Connections festival was Frigg with the BBC Scotland Symphony Orchestra. The band don't come over from Finland nearly enough so a chance to see them tonight locally is not to be missed. @wiltshire music

Hailing from Prince Edward Island, Canada, I've only seen  The East Pointers play one full gig which was sadly just before band member Koady died unexpectedly. After a couple of years recovery it's great to see Tim and Jake back out on the road. At Forest Folk Broadhunt tonight

Final of three nights seeing Kate Rusby . A much nearer venue, just up the road in Frome. Wonder if there will be anything different??

Night 2 of 3. A little nearer to home over the water in another country . I let the train 🚆 take the strain for today. Anyway I'm sure Kate will be just as good in Wales as she was in Cornwall.

I've been looking forward to tonight's concert after  seeing @TheHaarBand at the beginning of April. Fantastic musicianship from the three fellas together with the exquisite singing of Molly Donnery. A great evening's entertainment is guaranteed in Tetbury

Well tonight is one of those occasional "new" music nights. Holly Clarke is a new name to me but I've seen a couple of videos and liked what I heard.

Always a pleasure to see Anna and Rowan Rheingens. Fantastic exponents of traditional music with an occasional touch of French influence from where Anna lives in Southern France. @stgeorgesbris

Tonight we go to the other end of the folk artist spectrum in comparison to this week's bands gigs with solo artist  Ellie Gowers. Ellie is one third of @themagpiesuk,  an accomplished soloist (and Morris dancer !)

As mentioned last night, tonight is another "big" Band, well compared to my usual duos and solo artists. A short trip over the Seven to Newport and the first visit to the Riverfront. A short trip to Newport to see Steeleye Span at the Riverfront Theatre Newport
