At the last #Eurogroup meeting of 2025 we discussed the latest economic developments. The highlight of the day was the election of Kyriakos @Pierrakakis as Eurogroup President.   I was also pleased to meet @SimonHarrisTD for the first time in his new role as 🇮🇪 Finance Minister.

And congratulations @Pierrakakis on his election as the new President of #Eurogroup.

Ahead of my first Eurogroup and ECOFIN meeting as Finance Minister I met with EU Commissioner @VDombrovskis to discuss the proposed reparations loans for Ukraine, how to progress the simplification agenda, the future of the digital euro and Ireland’s upcoming EU Presidency.

Glad to meet with @SimonHarrisTD today in Brussels to discuss the upcoming 🇮🇪 Council presidency, Ireland’s economic and fiscal developments, #simplification efforts, and financial support to Ukraine. We agree on the urgency to move forward with 🇺🇦 support.

Enroute to Brussels for Eurogroup and Ecofin meetings. I will also meet with the EU Economy Commissioner, the President of the European Investment Bank and attend the European Stability Mechanism Board of Governors Meeting. Looking forward to a busy 2 days
