Students were tasked with writing poems to describe the phases of the moon. They participated in a gallery walk to provide positive feedback on their classmates work. I was amazed at the quality of their work. A great way to end the unit! @GarrettMSGators

Kicking off solar and lunar eclipses with the orange moon phenomenon! Students generated questions to explain the orange moon and wrote poetry to describe the moon’s phases. @GarrettMSGators

On vacay I learned that Chicxulub was the site of the asteroid landing that exterminated the dinosaurs! Of course I had to use it as a phenomena for asteroids. Students looked at pictures and videos to write questions to determine what caused the massive crater. @GarrettMSGators

When Halloween falls during the school week, you just have to go with it! A STEM challenge came to the rescue! The students worked together to build a boat that would hold the most candy corn. The winning boat held 230! @GarrettMSGators @Rockey_And
