This is wild - Samsung is now selling a “smart fridge” with a monthly subscription for the light to come on - premium pricing for a camera to see it’s off when it’s closed. …wait… BMW are actually doing this, this isn’t a parody..?

Nice write up about Holy One by @Love_Drogheda local @sainthoodswift in Hot Press - Great moody track, will be going on my Sunday Morning playlist when it's added to Spotify!
Written and arranged by Hannah Horan and produced by fellow Dublin singer-songwriter @sarahbcrean, 'Holy One' is a captivating listen from an indie artist inspired by @phoebe_bridgers @doddleoddle and more. https://t.co/yXgJtyPdlJ

This. Closing a cinema at 8pm basically closes it for the day.. So many of us work until 6 and now unable to go to the cinema.! Lots of distance, great ventilation, certs required and checked religiously. How does 8pm help?? Feels like a cowardly way to avoid paying govt supports
Cinemas don't qualify for CRSS because we are ‘open’. If you love cinema, lend us your voice now. #SaveOurCinemas (2/2)

Since COVID, I’ve become less concerned about AI destroying humanity, and instead, humanity destroying AI/IT... JustEat with incorrect menus, wrong opening times, missing meal options.... not bugs, just badly used by humans....

Not getting a David Fincher directed Freddie Mercury biopic staring Sacha Baron Cohen is up there with not getting a proper Ben Affleck Batman movie., https://t.co/zQrc9IRr4B I’m off to cry into a copy of Rocketman, because at least we have that.

David Fincher says the test shots of Sacha Baron Cohen as Freddie Mercury were "spectacular" – the actor was set to play the Queen singer

Continuing the governments narrative that Drogheda is just a giant housing estate for sleeping in and to park our cars before travelling outside of THE LARGEST TOWN IN IRELAND to get any services.

Can't have young people going to Europe, learning languages, participating in other societies & cultural life. Observing how people live, where many EU countries have better transport systems, better public spaces & welfare systems etc. No, keep them here, keep them ignorant.
“The British government decided not to participate in the Erasmus exchange programme” EU Chief Negotiator Michel Barnier adds “the level of ambition in terms of the mobility of citizens is not in line with our historical ties” https://t.co/Vi1odRtvaV

#BrexitDeal excluding the Erasmus programme has to be the dumbest exclusion... May play to Irelands advantage, but the UK talent pool will hurt over this as will the English language in the EU...

American ideology distilled: Anything that's not about building a business and "driving a Mercedes" gets filed under a "waste of time", even when it's even "fucking fun". Ugh.
“Video games a real problem. You know why? Because they’re f**king fun. You do them, and they’re real exciting, but you don’t get anywhere.” Joe Rogan has described video games as a “waste of time” for 'most people': https://t.co/8phVgmGYP9

Did I read it wrong? Isn't the whole book about teaching you to walk around in someone else's shoes? And how the kind of slurs and racism that exist have no place? "Councillor calls on Education Minister to review To Kill a Mockingbird's curriculum place"

Spent 7.5+ hours today across ~14 calls on Google Meet. From planning, to standups, customer conferences, support cases, pair programming, reviews and even held an interview (longest one). It didn't let me down once.

"Health Minister Simon Harris says 'there can be no room for public versus private' healthcare" <- I doubt there will be a shift in attitudes when this is over, but this is where this sentence should end, pandemic or not.

The type of questioning from the media to the Department of Health on RTE right now is disgraceful. Questions focused on getting some excuse to publish a sensational headline. Journalism will have a lot to answer for after this "#IrelandLockdown"
