1/2 Last Thursday’s EGM news regarding captains for the 2025 season. Matt Baker has taken over the 1st X1 captaincy again after a few seasons not in the post. Toby Degg has been appointed VC. Matthew Smith continues as 2nd X1 captain, with Ben Stokes taking on the role of VC.

We can’t put into words what a hole Jim will leave not being involved in & around the club. 60 years of impeccable service as a player, captain, secretary, volunteer etc is something we can’t replace but from everyone at Silverdale we say thank you & all the best for the future.

2/2 effort from everyone involved. As always we’ll keep going & the first team will bounce back and go again next year. We’ve also had a Sunday development team out this year which has been fantastic. Our U14’s came joint bottom but are more than competing which is great to see.

1/2 So it’s been a season of two tales for our 1st and 2nd X1’s respectively. On Saturday our 1st team were relegated to Division 1, while our 2nd X1 have been fighting for promotion all season and have come up just short but can’t finish any lower than 4th which is a fantastic.
