We’re delighted to announce the signing of Kasun Abeysinghe from Stone Cricket Club. Kasun played a key part in their promotion to Prem B last year, he weighed in with nearly 500 runs and 30 wickets. We’re looking forward to seeing you at the dale next year.

It’s been a busy couple of months since last season finished… a few new and old faces we have welcomed into the club. We’re really looking forward to seeing Josh, Callum, Niall and Joe playing for the club next season and beyond.

A big shoutout to Josh Rhodes for the performances he put in over the last week. On Thursday night he set a new phoenix league record for highest individual score, blasting 168no off 63 balls (top sloggin), and then backed it up on Sunday with another ton in the talbot cup. 👏🏼🍻

2/2 The club would like to thank out going captains Alex McChristie & Matt Myatt. Milo we really appreciated you stepping into the role last season & for all your hard work around the club. We’d like to wish the lads well in their roles & we hope for a successful 2025 season.

1/2 Last Thursday’s EGM news regarding captains for the 2025 season. Matt Baker has taken over the 1st X1 captaincy again after a few seasons not in the post. Toby Degg has been appointed VC. Matthew Smith continues as 2nd X1 captain, with Ben Stokes taking on the role of VC.

We can’t put into words what a hole Jim will leave not being involved in & around the club. 60 years of impeccable service as a player, captain, secretary, volunteer etc is something we can’t replace but from everyone at Silverdale we say thank you & all the best for the future.

2/2 effort from everyone involved. As always we’ll keep going & the first team will bounce back and go again next year. We’ve also had a Sunday development team out this year which has been fantastic. Our U14’s came joint bottom but are more than competing which is great to see.

1/2 So it’s been a season of two tales for our 1st and 2nd X1’s respectively. On Saturday our 1st team were relegated to Division 1, while our 2nd X1 have been fighting for promotion all season and have come up just short but can’t finish any lower than 4th which is a fantastic

Either we’re in the process of turning the square around and having the sight screens moved or maybe it’s just been the heavy winds 🤣🤷‍♂️
