the other clothes seem like just cheap hot topic style clothes overpriced. i mostly work with yarn so i don’t speak as much on the subject of garments made from fabric, but they don’t seem amazing quality to me for the price.

and even if someone is fast enough to do it in five hours, you should pay them extra because of how carefully crafted everything is which means that it would be a grand total of 75 minimum for fair pay, meaning she is 100% underpaying her workers.

for the balaclava it seems similar to machine knit but if it truly is handmade with fancy fibers, the time it takes would be (on a fast scale) at least 5-6 hours and even charging federal minimum wage in the us, it’s only 37 dollars for hours of intricate work.

now for a sweater like that hand knit, i would charge up to 1k depending on size. but since it’s not specifically handmade, im assuming its machine knit which (while taking a long time) is a quarter of the time it usually tales. it seems scammy to me.

manufacturing is also a huge red flag for me since she speaks about “handmade” and “made to order” without listing any real factories or sources? if they’re handmade wouldn’t you want to prove it since they’re so expensive?.

the detail about being handmade in peru is interesting to me since it specifies it’s made to order since it’s handmade in peru, okay but why is EVERYTHING else also made to order? with the same waiting period?
