5. When asked for explanation, they do not know what inconsistency it is in step 1 and what resolution they can offer. They cannot even fix because all decisions are by algorithms and no human can intervene. Moral of the story: AI without humans in the loop is a disaster.

3. Customer support agent confirms that the AI's suggestion is correct & nudges me to delete them, to create a fresh one. 4. After that, now I'm unable to buy storage ever again and the current one expires soon. So, I've to move from cloud to local disc (2/n)

#AIharms #artificialintelegence and its blunders. This time with @Google 1. Google One's AI wrongly detects that there is inconsistenly with my payment profile and refuses to upgrade my storage. 2. The AI Chatbot suggests to delete my payment profile and methods. (1/n)

As per @Wise customer support, apparently I might have clicked the cancel button. Unfortunately, nowhere in the flow above I see a "Cancel" button. Authentication succeeds which naturally yielded a successful payment before. But, now, authentication succeeds but payment fails

Naturally, in desperation to send money overseas to my dependants, I try multiple times. The result is same. So, - The money is deducted from my @Nordea @Nordea_Aspa Bank - The money is not in my @Wise account - It is mostly stuck with @Trustly I have no option and no money

Here is what happening: - I try to add money (in Euros) to Wise from @Nordea_Aspa - the payment method is @Trustly - Everytime (since last 5 months) the authentication (through Nordea ID app) succeeds. - But the last redirect to the Wise app says "PAYMENT UNSUCCESSFUL"

A while back, I stumbled upon a file I consider the largest piece of evidence revealing how hundreds of data brokers trade personal data on everyone, including very sensitive data, globally. Massive investigation by @themarkup and German @netzpolitik_org: https://t.co/uJ7MpmIJ69

3. As a user-centric design, SIMBA is a user-friendly alternative to traditional password- and SMS-based authentication. Interested to know more? Read our paper or get in touch with us.

2. Mobile operators can reuse their RSP infrastructure and free their networks from the authentication traffic overhead. Also, they can serve new customers who are not very obvious to do business with them. (7/n)

There are several advantages of SIMBA: 1. Commodity services can benefit from the fact that eSIM/iSIM is not transferrable between users, and there is no static password/ PIN involved. This can combat password-sharing attacks. (6/n)

After that, eSIM/iSIM behaves like a secure password manager, and apps running on the mobile device use them to authenticate to a remote server over any network. So, SIMBA works even if there is no cellular network and the user is accessing the Internet over wifi. (5/n)

SIMBA allows services like Netflix to run a variant of RSP to deliver credentials on the eSIM/iSIM and use it to authenticate the user over non-cellular channels. Thus, the cellular network & mobile operators are needed only during the credential storage from the network. (4/n)

We introduce a private, secure, efficient mobile-based authentication protocol. We picked a simple name to go with the simple design of the protocol: SIMBA (SIM Based Authentication). It banks on the recent advancements: #eSIM/ #iSIM &#GSMA Remote SIM Provisioning (#RSP). (3/n)
