Wind is providing 6% of power, running at 3% of capacity, and solar is asleep on a low demand Saturday night.
How can the normally smart Germans possibly think they can run a modern industrial society on renewables?
@sideen_dan
Why do you only mention wind @ 6% when your own data says RE provide 41%?
You also know that the rest will be from storage and smart grid.
The real question is why you have so little faith in technology that you think it can't be done.
@sideen_dan
Only with the kindness of strangers, as Blanche said. In other words, imports from the neighbours, like nuclear France for example.🤦♂️
Whoring their way through the charade of an anti-nuclear "Energiewende".
Hypocrites.
@sideen_dan
We just need to overbuild wind and solar 6 times, this is the answer some smart Germans told me.
And right now in Bavaria, Greens' campaign message is "cheap energy for everyone", with windmills painted in the poster. No one beats the greens on green washing. 😎
@sideen_dan
By actually doing it. The great German renewable buildout will really take off now that they've completely snuffed the nuclear distraction.
@sideen_dan
Even if Germans don't care of nuclear electricity themselves, they could sell it to even more CO2-intense Poland and Czechia.
<sarcasm> Well, luckily carbon emissions are not a problem. </sarcasm>
