second-degree probe is not a magic wand, what it does do is tell us is that we don’t question our assumptions deeply enough. Sometimes it’s a glass castle, waiting for a question to act as a pickaxe to shatter the foundations of a false premise.

Can’t believe how old we’ve come; from looking for the next GTA4 release in the past; to the next GPT5 release today. .

Wrote something recently where I make a case to always read “raw transcripts” over copilot/claude generated summarisations.

Is it possible to do pair programming with AI despite using Claude Code? I don’t want to become a tab monkey at the end of the day, being a yes man to the yes man. .

these are all weird use cases of the promise of MCP which doesn’t entice me at all. Why can’t I just open google calendar and see what’s on my calendar? . the only promising MCP use case I’ve seen so far is using playwright MCP for headless browser automation/testing purposes.

Congrats to the team at @MarathonFusion for identifying a plausible, scalable process for transmuting mercury into gold. This is something that drove Isaac Newton insane.

“proliferate an aesthetic into the future” what a beautiful way to put it.

More people should create things to proliferate an aesthetic into our future, not just to solve problems. This is the quality that every artist and engineer I respect shares most universally. Without this, you are doomed to churning out slop.

the idea is to have a process around "brewing your ideas lazily". had written about this a while back talking about the creative process of drafting essays, now i realise that this could apply to various themes in life:

my twitter bookmarks had slowly turned into a digital sinkhole for niche/rare ideas that just disappear, never to be seen ever again. just made a chrome extension to help me organise my twitter bookmarks in a sane manner. here's a quick demo:.

Bahrain airport security clearance service is 10/10. Total process took ~3 mins. No need to remove random items from the bag such as coins, cables, laptops etc. Just drop your bag, get scanned and it’s done.
