unironically a very good mindset to keep in fighting games, this is the antithesis of the "aww my character is bottom 1 so i'm losing to the people who are carried" mindset

i don't know why but one of my strive pet peeves as of late is when people call bridget's Rolling Movement (214K) "roll" like i get that it's an approximation for brevity but THAT IS NOT HER MOVE THAT IS HAPPY CHAOS'S MOVE OUR ROLLING-BASED MOVE IS WAY MORE INTERESTING

--they definitely should not have been starting to recommend videos from other languages besides the ones you've selected / watch from already just because it's autodubbed, they should really have a way for creators to disable it on videos, and it should really be opt in

--with that being said i think the word detection and translation needs a lot of work and it probably shouldn't have been rolled out nearly as much as it has been until that work has been done. this tool is also somewhat niche given that subtitles exist and--

as an opt in tool for say blind people or people with really poor vision (like me) where the translated subtitles can't be read easily, it could theoretically be a niche tool that helps a lot, so i do actually very much appreciate this update, however--

theoretically there's some cool application here on more steps towards breaking language barriers here, though it really shouldn't be enabled by default, especially in this current stage. i'm glad they're using TTS and not some 11labs bullshit though
