Spicy Books: you know what I mean? When āspicy bookā starts to stand in for all romance novels, the descriptor of āspicyā becomes meaningless and creates a massive misunderstanding about what a āromance novelā is, for readers and non-readers alike. https://t.co/FElP7vyoqo

Bridgerton is all noise, no signal. Always has been. I want to enjoy it, I really do - I just feels like itās all form no function. Itās performing romance and sex, but I donāt FEEL it.

It feels like theyāre being hot separate from each other. The camera shots where you can only see one of them breathing heavily in the direction of the other off-screen doesnāt help. I feel like Iām watching Alicia Florrick and Kalinda drinking together at a bar in season 6.

I just think we have to allow for the possibility that all the āword of mouthā rumors about the hot chemistry are the result of very good PR. But what do I, a professional marketer who moonlights as a romance podcaster, know.

Controversial yet brave Bridgerton opinion: I think Nicola and whatās his face are very attractive people, but I feel like Iām being gaslit about their chemistry. All of the supposed hot chemistry on this show has the impact of water mixing with oil (to me! Itās my opinion!)
