More than our passport ranking, we should be alarmed that India ranked 102nd in the Global Hunger Index (GHI) 2025, out of 123 countries, placing us in the serious category. I don't even want to compare this against other countries, it is just shameful.
Countries like Rwanda, Ghana and Azerbaijan with much smaller economies than India - which is the fifth-largest economy globally - are ranked higher on the index at the 78th, 74th and 72nd spots, respectively.
