You can tell the economy is struggling because brands are coming up with a dozen ways to justify losing an increasing amount of money when acquiring new customers

Everyone is drinking the LTV kool-aid again. I'm sure this time will be different.

People are so weird. When we have a subscription offer on the LP, less people end up purchasing a subscription. When we have a bundle offer on the LP, more people find their way to the subscription offer on a different page?

Is a popup requiring email and sms really incremental? I see everyone doing it but it does feel like a big ask to sign up for both to get the same deal

How does Gruns get away with this? There's no way to pay $79.99 so it's basically always 20% off?

I want to add a tag to all of our past customers based on contents of their orders. What is the easiest way to do this?

As a CRO hobbyist, I can tell you with 100% certainty, this does not matter at all (besides the typos) Not to hate but it's funny how much time we collectively spend thinking about things like this Just go make more ads or improve your product!

If you end tests too early you will just go in circles getting dumber with every test you run Difference in results from day 2 of a test vs day 7: -30% to +3.5%

Ended up going with @LoopEngine . Has every feature you could need and support is top tier. It also helps that it's 3x cheaper than every other app on the market. Will probably save us > $10-20k next year.

Anyone have strong opinions on which subscription app is actually best between Skio, Stay, Recharge, and Appstle? imo feels like all the bells and whistles aren't worth the % fee... so have Appstle in the running too. If you love/hate any of them I'd love to know

Am I the only one that hates the default comparison on Shopify’s dashboard? Day over day means nothing but I still can’t help but feel bad when I see “total sales -15%” first thing in the morning

First 6 months of the year we released 2 SKUs. In Q4 we're releasing 11 SKUs, with a lot of limited edition drops. Getting the ball rolling has been exhausting but I feel like it's going to pay big dividends next year.

This is so corny but a big unlock this year was just accepting that I'm not good at everything I've never forecasted inventory, ran paid social, etc I sucked it up and reached out to people who have and said 'can I pay you to help me?' and it's worked wonders

Biggest regret of my career is staying solo / freelancing for so long I wanted to just be very good at all the things. But now I’m very quickly learning that the skill that really matters is hiring and leading people good at things… and I wish I had practiced it sooner

By all metrics we are growing super fast. But seeing peers on here it still feels like we’re not growing fast enough. Maybe the hardest thing has been not looking at other brands to compare to and just keep pushing
