I've always wanted @lolesports trading cards, so... Introducing the @LTANorth 2025 Series, featuring a 45 card base set and 20 inserts of varying rarity! Shipping permitting, these (both singles and "packs") will be available at the LTA finals in Texas.

In this complicated year for North American League, I think it's especially important to critically look at how we talk and address players of colour and those who don't fit the image of the "native LCS player," and how often they mirror broader discourses on identity.

Once I get home, I'll likely throw the cards online somewhere, and get to work on the @LTANorth set (some people got the pre-releases at MSI :) ) If anyone is heading to the LTA finals in Texas and is interested in collaborating for that, please reach out!

Heading back home now - my card binder is well and truly cleaned out! Thank you to everyone who took 'em off my hands, and to all the fans who traded trinkets with me. What a delightful and bizarre experience to see something you made on a whim receive such love and attention.

I genuinely just struggle to grasp where this argument is coming from. I want to understand why people believe this so strongly when my personal experience as a socials person has demonstrated that this supposed audience doesn't exist at the scale people think it does.

Can someone elaborate on the argument that the audience for esports will grow if fans got to know the players as people? A majority of esport players are either awful/unlikable people or just boring. The human-based stories that do exist aren't attracting an "invisible majority."

Been trying to design lolesport trading cards in hopes of having some sort of freebie for any @LTANorth event that comes up to Canada. The prototypes aren't the greatest quality-wise, but I figured it was worth putting them through the rigours anyway. Sorry @VulcanLoL.

I'm published! 🥳 This project looked at @LTANorth narratives around @TeamLiquidLoL the past two seasons and how it reflects North American anxieties around Korean imports. It's my first paper! Though if they could put my English name before my Chinese name, that'd be great 😅
