I’ll be honest, this is part of why I avoided getting seriously into VA for so long. In some other spaces I’ve been or heard of, VA’s have a bit of a reputation for being opportunistic and conceited. Nobody likes being used. It’s sad - a few bad apples ruin it for everybody.
Sorry. I have massive feelings about this because I’ve been accused in the past of casting friends and I am not having it. Stop thinking that friendships will get you work. We’re not job ATMs and friendships are not transactional. If you do this, you’re not trying. You’re lazy.
