this is also why i hate when people say things about how “knowing taylor’s lore” makes ttpd click because that is literally not true. you don’t need any of her personal “lore” you literally just need this poem and the context that she is very famous (you already knew that).

no because i’ve always said the prologue poem is crucial to understanding ttpd but 90% of people who casually listen will never read it because it was vinyl exclusive. and that makes me sad.

i would not rank midnights as my top taylor album but i do think it's the taylor album that is by far the most Me. if that makes literally any sense. like i feel like anyone can be assigned a taylor swift album that most fits their vibe as a person and midnights is mine
