We were pleased to host information tables at two fairs last week: the ASK Friendship Society’s “Caregivers First: Support for the Supporters” fair on Feb. 21 and the Family Caregiver Hub Mini Health Fair hosted by Wilson Seniors Advisory on Feb. 26.

This February, Seniors First BC was proud to present to older adults throughout the Lower Mainland, including at @SHARESociety and Women Helping Others (WHO) in Coquitlam, at Sunridge Retirement Home in Langley, and at Kensington Community Centre in Vancouver.

On Feb. 19, we joined the Chinese Community Response Network and other community partners to celebrate the Year of the Horse Lunar New Year with Chinese older adults. 🐎

We've a long-standing partnership with Wavefront Centre for Communication Accessibility to deliver presentations to older adults who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, or deaf-blind. Our Senior Legal Advocate, Nighat Afsar, presented on “Government Benefits for Older Adults” on Feb. 11.

We're a member partner with the Council to Reduce Elder Abuse (CREA). This year’s CREA Conference on Feb. 12 brought together community leaders, service providers, researchers, and advocates dedicated to preventing and responding to elder abuse across British Columbia.

Seniors First BC wishes everyone a Happy Holidays. Please note that our Seniors Abuse and Information Line will remain open from December 24th, 2025 to January 2nd, 2026, with the exception of statutory holidays on December 25th–26th and January 1st.
