Watch surgical videos on YT, I usually do removals of foreign bodies. These are people being healed, after all, and patients usually consent beforehand. For animal gore, try butcher websites, catch and cooks, or vulture-culture tutorials.
cons of drawing gore is trying to find references without actually wanting to look at gore, pain
