Picking up some nuggets re Asthma treatment at @LothianRespMCN and ready to present this afternoon on anticipatory care plans and Key Information Summaries as they relate to @Scotambservice practice. Interesting to see the risks of SABA monotherapy in particular.

@EdinburghHSCP carrying out great work in empowering care staff and patients in care homes in the north of the city. Allowing wishes to be respected, this may even be patients wishing to be treated aggressively and taken to hospital. #ACPEvent2019

I’m asking as I’m at the #ACPEvent2019 presenting our experience with this and listening to care home staff, GPs and third sector today. We often attend patients wishing we had more information and what their wishes are, where a KIS is in place it could all be there already.
