It's powerful to me that all of these workers are sharing their support like this! It can be scary but these folks are being brave! To me this is a sign of how well organized these folks are + how strongly they feel that their union will make Bandcamp a better place!

When a billionaire video game company bought our beloved Bandcamp last year, they said don't worry, this is different, we won't be like the usual billionaires. Well Bandcamp workers are now forming a union. We are rooting for them and hope the owners do the right thing!

Health & Safety - Workers have the right to work in a safe & sanitary workplace that complies with all federal, state, and local laws. Paid Time Off - Increased rollover & the inclusion of sick days. Jury Duty - Increased in paid jury duty leave.

Discipline & Discharge - No worker may be fired or disciplined without just cause. Grievance & Arbitration - Instituted grievance & arbitration policy.

New Job Classification - The union must be notified and may request to bargain over all new salary positions to ensure work is accurately classified and fairly paid.

Hybrid Work - Our hybrid schedule, which consists of 2 days in the office, will continue through 2023. Job Postings - Secretly shall make job postings known to the union in advance of posting them externally.

Warehouse Cancelation of Calls - If an act of god occurs and the warehouse is closed, employees will be paid for up to 3 days. Warehouse Workweek - Current warehouse employees' schedules can't be changed without mutual agreement.

Shop Steward System - Each office will have Shop Stewards to communicate directly with the union, educate union members on their rights, and advocate for union members in any potential disciplinary proceedings.

Labor Management Committee - Union members will meet with mgmt to discuss the working conditions of the bargaining unit. This will be a place to discuss potential policy implementations to create a better workplace.

Severance - The institution of severance with 2 weeks salary for every year of service up to 16 weeks.

Benefits - We locked in a 401k match & 100% healthcare coverage! Wages - We now have minimum starting salaries, minimum raises, minimum bonuses, and location multipliers for salary based on location.
